I read a lot. I read about love, romance, horror, paranormal, scifi, tragedy, mystery, and most important I read about writing. I keep my tool box full. I have always been a dedicated reader, something that my grandmother passed down to me when I was very young.
I always had a way with words because of my constant reading. My mother loves to tell me how she laughed when she read the letters I sent her from Airforce basic training. She said the way I told of all my misadventures in my letters made her feel as if she were reliving them. That should have been a clue then that I was a natural story teller, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I decided I was going to write.
I had a dream that insisted it needed to be told. So one afternoon, I sat down at the keyboard, and started the first few pages of WF. I had no clue then how much time and work it would take to finish this little hobby I had started.
Fast forward to today. I’m still working on that very same story. I havnt given up, and I love this book. I have faith that others will love this book. I have a blog where people visit and read my words, and I have dozens of writer friends helping me learn new things every day. My hobby blossomed into something more. It’s taken hold of me and refuses to let go. So, I continue to write. It’s become a part of who I am now. I’m a writer.
How did you first realize you wanted to write?
Ta!
